John Schulmeister

                      Senior Attorney

I am an experienced family lawyer and zealous advocate for my clients, and former Texas Assistant Attorney General with more than twenty-eight years of litigation experience. I know that there is a time and place for litigation in family cases; however, having represented thousands of clients I have seen the emotional and financial cost of litigating a family case and know that litigation is not the only option to resolve family disputes.  As a collaboratively trained attorney and mediator, I believe that there are better options available to resolve family disputes outside of the courtroom. Mediation and Collaborative Law are two of the most powerful options available to a family law client. Both options allow the parties to craft agreements that are in the best interest of the family without stepping foot in a courtroom. I provide my clients with the options available to them and guide them through making the best decisions for their family. Call me for a consultation- it will be time well spent!
